Cancer Research UK - Race for Life!

On Thursday 18th July, Broadford Primary School held a Race for Life charity event in support of Cancer Research UK. Despite the weather on the day, pupils turned up with their trainers on, ready to Race for Life!

All pupils took part in the event and completed the course on the field. Here are some of our fastest racers!

Bobby in year 6 wore a special memory t-shirt for the occasion. Bobby wanted to remember and pay his respects to survivors and those in his family who have sadly lost their battles with cancer. Well done Bobby, what a thoughtful gesture. I have no doubt that your family members are proud of you for keeping their memories alive.

Our year 6 prefects were on hand on the day to organise the festivities and make sure everyone handed in their sponsorship money.

We have been overwhelmed by the support the pupils received for this event and we are absolutely thrilled to announce that with your help and support our pupils have raised

£2582.43

We cannot thank you all enough. This amount will go towards the work of the charity and working towards a day when all cancers are cured.

Well done to each and every pupil who took part, even through the drizzle and rain you were all fabulous!
If you haven't collected your sponsorship money yet, there is no need to worry. You can bring it into school the first week back in September and we will add it to our total. Can we please ask that all sponsorship money is sent in by Monday 9th September.

Thank you.
