Over the last two years our mission statement has been to transform Broadford Primary into the Best School on the Hill. Your children deserve the very best standard of education so that they can reach their full potential – and we will stop at nothing to ensure that happens. Last year we achieved better results and higher rates of progress than any of our local schools. It meant that Broadford rose up from the very bottom of the league table – up by 27 places! This year we have sustained the improvement: higher quality teaching, supportive parents, a focus on more able pupils, improved resources, better training for teachers and an exciting curriculum. In fact Broadford is now ranked in the top 10 of all Primary schools in the Borough. For rates of progress, we come in the top 1% of all schools nationally, meaning that out of 20,000 schools we are in the top 200. That is an outstanding achievement and one of which I know you will be very proud.
Today we congratulated the children on the continued improvement. A large part of this has come from the children knowing their three jobs:
- Turn up every day, on time
- Do your best in every lesson
- Be kind and polite to everyone we meet
