Unilever Bids - Pitch Day

Our pupils went to London last year to pitch for money to run a community project #wearekind.

We wanted to launch a project that helps people realise how much impact they can have with small acts of kindness. We hope to start a kindness revolution!

This project has been possible thanks to the support of the Mayor of London and Unilever.

Have a look at the video below which shows the highlights from the pitch day where 12 schools went to share their ideas and bid for funding.

Project Sunlight
On 20 November 2013, Universal Children’s Day, Unilever launched Project Sunlight, a campaign to motivate millions of people to adopt more sustainable lifestyles.

Since then, with the help of a growing community of people who believe in the power of taking action, they have made a positive contribution towards the life of millions of people around the world. They've formed lasting partnerships and worked with today’s inspiring new leaders towards a brighter and more sustainable future. There have been many proud moments: helping 2 million children across the world, through Unilever's ongoing partnership with Save the Children, UNICEF and the World Food Programme.

In the UK last year they provided half a million meals to UK families in need through the #ClearAPlate campaign in partnership with Oxfam.

Unilever is also a proud supporter of the Team London Young Ambassadors: the Mayor of London's volunteer programme for schools which aims to inspire young people to engage in social action, both in their school and the local community. To date the programme has seen participation from more than 800 schools reaching a massive 140,000 young people.
