Last week saw the beginning of the process required to demolish the old building, which dates from 1953. Initially there will be a scaffold framework erected around the building so that it can be enveloped with a protective covering.
Then an internal clear out will start before the interior walls and partitions are removed. This soft strip process will take approximately four weeks.
We are holding a Parent Council meeting later in the month where we will be able to give you more details about the process and what is planned to replace the structure.
