Dear Parents and Carers,

Rainbow Tombola
Thank you for your generous donations for our tombola stall at the forthcoming Christmas Fayre. We have been overwhelmed at the donations that have been received in school today. In these times when the school budget is continually shrinking any help to raise funds so our children can still have the fantastic resources and still have the opportunity to access amazing experiences is appreciated. We look forward to seeing you all at the Christmas Fayre on Saturday 9th December, come along and win a prize in the ‘Rainbow Tombola’.

Diary Dates
All year groups will be busy practicing their Christmas celebrations next week. From what I have seen so far, I can tell you that you are in for a treat again this year.
On Tuesday 28th year 1 Spinebreakers from Mulberry class are visiting Hilldene library.
LAMDA lessons continue on Wednesday 29th in the afternoon.
Year 5 will receive  a visit from the dogs trust on Thursday 30th during the morning.
Breakfast club will be celebrating 1st December with a special hot chocolate morning from 7.45 am. We finish the week on Friday 1st with a year 6 cycling day. Clubs finish today.
Havering Catering Services
Week beginning Monday 27th November is week 2 on the Havering Catering Services menu. A school meal costs £2.20 and is served with unlimited salad and vegetables.

Christmas Dinner
Christmas dinner will be served on Wednesday 13th December. The kitchen already have an indication of numbers for the day. The children will select their dinner as normal on the day when they arrive at school and pay via the Squid system.

Christmas Bauble Competition
As I am sure you are already aware Emily Claydon was the school winner and finalist for the Liberty shopping centre ‘Deck the Malls’ design a bauble competition. The overall winner is decided by way of a public vote and how many times each design is ‘liked’ on their facebook page. Please click on the picture and press ‘like’ as voting closes on Friday 26th November. Thank you.   

CPA Scholarship
I am absolutely thrilled to announce that Sam Middleton was awarded the 1 year scholarship and will be attending Colin’s Performing Arts in Romford. Congratulations to Sam, we are very proud of you. The teachers from the school were incredibly impressed with the children who auditioned and have offered smaller scholarships and free days for some of the other pupils. What a talented bunch! Congratulations to all the pupils who took part in the workshop, you all did a brilliant job!

After School Clubs
The last day for after school clubs this term  is Friday 1st December. The clubs sharing assembly for this term will take place on Wednesday 6th December @ 9.05am. At this assembly the dance and choir clubs will perform for us and share what they have been doing in their clubs this term.

Building Work
At long last, I can announce that building work starts on the new part of the school on Thursday 30th November. We are very excited about the next phase of development for our school. The building work will take place within a fenced off area and there will be minimal disruption to the pupils and school day. i will keep you updated throughout the project.
