Dear Parents and Carers,


Dairy Dates - Monday 21st - Friday 25th February
On Monday 21st we have a visit from Romford Drum & Trumpet group. Who are joining our KS2 pupils for assembly and then leading the pupils in music workshops. Year 4 pupils are participating in sessions with their peers from Mead and Drapers’ Brookside and will be making comparisons between the Mary Poppins text the film which they watched last week. Clubs start after school.
On Tuesday at 2.00 pm we invite the parents and carers of Reception children into school for their stay & learn session with a focus on Mathematics.
On Wednesday 23rd in the afternoon pupils in years 5&6 will be participating in a road safety workshop. The spinebreakers in year 2 are visiting the library.
Thursday morning Mrs Wallis is hosting a information session focusing on supporting pupils and families with ADHD. On Thursday afternoon  we invite all parents and carers of parents in year 3&4 to their stay & learn sessions @ 2.00 pm. Please note the change of time due to visitors for the parents information session in the morning.
After school some of our year 5 pupils start their Music Junction project with the London Symphony Orchestra and Drapers’ Academy.
On Friday 25th we finish the week with University of Broadford .


Stay & Learn Sessions
We invite all parents & carers to join us for this half term parents information session.
Tuesday 22nd January @ 2.00 pm focus Mathematics.
Thursday 24th January @ 9.00 am SEN parents information session focus on ADHD.
Thursday 24th January @ 2.00p pm year 3&4 focus on Writing.


SEN Parents Information Session - ADHD
All parents are invited to join us on Thursday 24th January 2018 from 9am - 10am at our SEN Coffee Morning, which will focus specifically on Autism.
Romford Autistic Group Support (RAGS) will also be in attendance and will be available to offer support and advice. RAGS provide help and support for families who have a child / children with an Autism Spectrum Disorder. They believe that every person with autism has potential to fulfil, and they enable this by supporting the entire family – parents, siblings and the individual with autism.RAGS was founded in 2003 by a group of Havering parents who have children with an Autism Spectrum Disorder. They became a registered Charity in 2009 and are dedicated to helping families in Havering.
The session will give you an insight into how our autistic children are supported in school.
It is also a great opportunity to talk to other parents who have a child/children with ASD and to share strategies with each other to help your children.
So please come along and join us for a chat, coffee and a cake!

After School Clubs
Clubs start again on Monday 21st  January. The doors will be labelled with the clubs that are being dismissed from that area. If your child is not attending an after school club please collect them at the usual time of 3.00 pm. Thank you to Mrs Chance and Mrs Charlesworth who organise all of the after school clubs for our pupils to enjoy.


Havering Catering Services
Week beginning Monday 21st  January is week 2 on the Havering catering services menu. All meals are served with unlimited salad and vegetables and cost £2.20. School meals are free to our KS1/EYFS pupils.
