Dear Parents and Carers,


End of Key Stage Statutory Assessments
Well done to all of the pupils in year 2 and 6 who have completed their end of key stage assessments over the last two weeks. We are very proud of you as you have all demonstrated huge amounts of commitment and tried your very best throughout the whole process, all with an amazingly positive attitude. Thank you to our committed and dedicated staff who have been relentless in ensuring that the pupils have consistently received high quality teaching. I know they have some exciting projects for the rest of the term which I am certain the pupils are going to love!


Dairy Dates - Monday 20th - Friday 24th May
On Monday the Romford recorder are visiting school to take class photographs of our reception pupils. make sure your face is clean and your hair is brushed.
On Tuesday morning year 5 are hosting their stay and learn session and invite all parents and carers to join them in the classroom on this occasion. In the afternoon year 1 are hosting their stay & learn session. Year 6 have a visit from the Romford Recorder who are coming to take their end of primary school photographs.
On wednesday morning pupils will have the opportunity to go head to head and with their peers to earn themselves a place in the spelling bee team. The Harry Potter club are participating in the Hogwarts House quiz at Mead.
School is closed for pupils on Thursday 23rd as the hall is being used as a polling station.
On Friday we have visitors from maryville University in USA in school to work with our pupils and observe how schools run in this country. Year 6 pupils are off to face the nuclear mud race, ew! As an end of half term treat, the BMX stunt show are back in school attempting to beat more world records! A show not too be missed.
After a short but just as busy half term, we finish school at 3.00pm for the half term break.

Havering Catering Services
Week beginning 20th May is week 1 on the Havering catering services menu. All meals are served with unlimited salad and vegetables and cost £2.20.
Veggie Run
In May we will be celebrating Veggie Runs first birthday and we are very proud that over the last 12 months it has helped to increase school dinners by over 300,000 lunches.
To celebrate the occasion HES Catering Services has a range of competitions and prizes for pupils and schools this term,  including:
·         Free trips to Stubbers,
·         West Ham Soccer School vouchers,
·         Bikes,
·         West Ham United Stadium and Queen Elizabeth Park Tours.
You can set up your own Veggie Run account using the school’s unique code which is 2659.
