New Academic Year

I would like to extend a warm welcome back to all pupils, parents and carers. It has been wonderful to catch up with so many of you this week and welcome you back for the new academic year. There have been lots of happy faces coming into school each day and we are all thrilled that the pupils are so eager to get stuck back into learning. I know we got off to a difficult start but the staggered times have been getting better everyday as we all get used to our ‘new normal’. Thank you all for your patience and support in this matter. Staff have been delighted to have the children back in their classrooms where they belong and to teach a broad and balanced curriculum. Due to the Government’s latest announcement, can I please remind all parents from Monday 14th September to drop your children and move away from the school gates. If you have siblings in the school please contact us and we will make arrangements with you.

We will continue the Broadford way of enhancing our curriculum with exciting experiences and although we cannot organise out of school visits at the moment we are looking at ways that we can invite visitors into school for workshops and activities to inspire our pupils. We will of course ensure that this is safe before we go ahead and you will be informed of any upcoming visits. This week you would have received a curriculum letter from your child’s class teacher informing you of their learning for this term. Again, whilst we are unable to invite you into school for stay and learn sessions we are looking at ways that we can still involve you all in school life.

I have no doubt that this year working together as a school community we will have another fantastic year.
