Weekly Newsletter - Friday 3rd December

Headteacher: Mrs L Nicholls

Dear Parents and Carers,

Christmas Concerts

As I am sure you are all more than aware, the government has decided to introduce extra Covid measures once again due to the current situation.

We intend to continue with our performances next week but we understand that some parents do not feel comfortable attending, therefore each performance will be filmed and will be available on google classroom for parents to watch.

If you would still like to attend I would like to take this opportunity to remind you that;

  • Numbers are restricted to 2 guests per child.

  • We ask that all adults take a LFD Test before attending and whilst in school wear a mask.

  • The halls will be ventilated.

  • Hand sanitiser will be available before entering.

  •  Should you display Covid symptoms (a new cough, temperature or loss of taste/smell) you must not attend the performance.

We very much appreciate your support with all of these measures. The pupils have worked incredibly hard to prepare for this performance and I cannot emphasize enough that this is not the time or place for political opinion.

The concerts for Nursery, reception, years 1 and 2 will take place in the Charlton hall, which is the hall in our new building. Please wait at the gate on Faringdon Avenue and have your tickets ready for collection.

The concerts for years 3,4,5&6 will take place in the Sorrell hall and we ask that parents wait at the side door, which is to the left of the main office door.

Holiday Meal Scheme

Through the Government’s Household Support Fund, the Council has allocated funding to continue the School Holiday Meal Scheme for December, which will allow eligible families to receive £30 per child to cover the two-week Christmas school break.

The scheme provides funds to ensure that eligible families can purchase food over the holidays to replace the meals a child would have received during a school day.

The application window will open for a short period from Friday 26 November at 9am, closing on Friday 3 December at 5pm.

Families who have previously received payment via the scheme do not need to reapply and will automatically receive the funds into their nominated bank by week commencing Monday 20th December.

Details about the scheme have been updated on the Council’s website, with the application form going live from Friday 26 November.

Havering Catering Services

Week beginning 6th December is week 3 on the Havering catering services menu. All meals are served with unlimited salad and vegetables and cost £2.30.
