Forest Schools

Throughout this year, all of the children in KS1 and KS2 will be participating in Forest School sessions.  The children in KS2 will have one session every 3 weeks.  Please check the school calendar to see when your child's class is due to have a session.  These sessions are led by Miss Float.

The children in KS1 will have a block of 5 sessions, twice during the year.  Please check the school calendar to see when your child's class is due to have their sessions.  These sessions will be led by Mrs Shorter and Miss Float.

When participating in these Forest School sessions (whatever the weather), the children are required to wear tracksuit/jogging trousers and welly boots/old trainers/walking boots, (with their school polo shirt and jumper).  These should be left in school to change into before each session.  In wet/cold weather, the children will also need to bring a warm coat, a hat and gloves to wear.  Forest School sessions take place whatever the weather, so it is important the children are properly dressed, so that they can participate in and enjoy each session fully.  School trousers, school skirts, dresses and shorts are not suitable for wearing for Forest School.  Shoes/trainers that the children wear to and from and in school are also not suitable, as some sessions they will get very wet and muddy.

In preparation for your child's first session, please send into school a pair of tracksuit/jogging trousers and a pair of welly boots/old trainers/walking boots, in a named carrier bag.  There are pegs outside each classroom for the children to hang these up.

Thank you for your cooperation.

Havering Catering Services

Week beginning 11th September is week 2 on the Havering catering services menu. All meals are served with unlimited salad and vegetables and cost £2.45.

You can see the Havering catering Menu here
School dinners are now free to ALL primary aged pupils.

Breakfast Club
Unfortunately, we have had to raise the price of breakfast club to £2.00. As a school we run our own breakfast club which has not been financially viable over the past few years. We apologise for any inconvenience caused but hopefully this cost increase will enable us to keep the service in house as outside providers can be much more expensive. I do apologise for the late notice of this which was an oversight on our part. Please continue to book breakfast via the sQuid system. Many thanks.

I hope you all have a fantastic weekend.

Yours sincerely,

Mrs L Nicholls

Headteacher
