Year 6 Travel Training Session

Some of our Year 6 students had a brilliant time this week building their independence with our special Travel Training session!

Teaming up with Havering Borough Educational Services and the Met Police, the class hopped on a local bus to get real-world experience before their big move to secondary school.

The students did a great job learning about:

  • Staying Safe: Keeping phones and bags secure while spotting anti-social behaviour.

  • Who to Trust: Identifying "Safe Strangers" like drivers and inspectors who can help in a pinch.

  • Road Smarts: Crossing safely to get to the stop.

  • The Essentials: Mastering Oyster cards, Freedom passes, and accessibility.

It was a fun, practical day that gave everyone a confidence boost for September. Well done, Year 6!

Spare Clothes
Winter weather is definitely here! Over the past few weeks it has been wet. This means that children get wet and many need a change of clothes. If your child has needed to borrow some clothes from school we kindly ask that you wash them and return them as soon as possible. We need many spare clothes for the number of children that we have. If you have had a clear out at home we would really appreciate donations of items that your children have outgrown. We particularly need socks and bottoms (trousers, tracksuits bottoms) for girls and boys. Many thanks.
