School Council Visit The Mayor

The School's Council had a great afternoon with the Mayor. We learnt lots of amazing facts. Did you know that the Mayor's mace is worth £30,000! It is a symbol of authority from the Queen. Without it no full council meeting can start. It is delicate, so you must wear gloves when handling it. Amazingly the Havering mace is the tallest of all. No other Borough has a mace as high as ours.
