We were delighted to receive a signed certificate from London Mayor Boris Johnson in recognition of our work to improve early literacy. The Phonological Awareness project - in association with Hilldene Primary - has helped to improve phonics and reading outcomes for over one hundred Harold Hill pupils.
The project has directly contributed to our Phonics scores being above average in Year 1 and ensuring that our pupils - from when they enter in Nursery - have every chance of being at or above the expected standard by the end of KS1.
