Weekly Newsletter - Friday 1st April, 2021

Headteacher: Mrs L Nicholls

Dear Parents and Carers,

End of Term

We continue to live in challenging times but there are brighter days ahead. This week we have enjoyed some lovely weather and fingers crossed that this continues. I can speak for all staff when I say that we have loved having the pupils back in school. It is a delight and a privilege for us to watch them all overcome the obstacles of the current situation and still continue to learn. We are very proud of them.
Hopefully, this break will bring opportunities to connect with loved ones, albeit in groups of 6 and outside, and start to regain the feeling of normality.

I look forward to welcoming you and your children back to school on 19th April for the Summer term.  School opens again on Monday 19th April for all pupils.  Breakfast Club at 7.45am – with the gates opening from 8.30am and the usual staggered times in place.

If you want to be happy, do not dwell in the past, do not worry about the future, focus on  living fully in the present.
Roy J Bennett

Goodbye

Today we are saying farewell to Mrs Taylor in the office and Mrs Stallard, teaching assistant in year 5. They have both been wonderful members of staff at Broadford for many years, and between them they have supported 100’s of pupils and parents.  We shall miss them both very much and I am sure you will join me in sending them our best wishes for the future.

Congratulations
I am sure you will all join me in wishing Miss Cummings our Nursery teacher and her fiance  all the best for their upcoming wedding. We hope that they both enjoy their  wonderful spring wedding day and a very happy life together. Congratulations!

IMPORTANT

The school is responsible for advising parents and staff of any new positive coronavirus test results (for pupils) up to and including 5th April. We sincerely hope this won’t be necessary but would urge parents to please advise school via the following e-mail of any positive cases detected up to this date please.

office@broadford.havering.sch.u

After this date you have to use the NHS contact tracing system if there was a need to report a positive case of Covid-19.

Havering Catering Services
After the Easter break there is a new 3 choice catering menu to follow. A copy of this menu has been sent home this week with all pupils.

Week beginning 19th April  is week 1 on the Havering catering services menu. All meals are served with unlimited salad and vegetables and cost £2.25.
