Weekly Newsletter - Friday 10th November, 2023

Headteacher: Mrs L Nicholls

Dear Parents and Carers,

Part 1 Broadford News

Inspection Feedback As you are all aware we have had a visit from Ofsted inspectors this week in school. I would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for your support this week during our inspection. The feedback provided by parents via the online parent view survey is overwhelmingly positive and we very much appreciate each and everyone of your views.
I know that you will be very keen to hear the feedback from the Ofsted inspectors following their recent visit. At this point their decisions are confidential as they have to be quality assessed by His Majesty’s Inspectorate. It is expected that the report will be published in around 15-20 days time. However, I can let you know that we are very happy with the feedback we have been given. I look forward to sharing the report with you in more detail once it is all finalised.

Stay & Learn Sessions

Thank you to all parents who have attended and supported our stay & learn sessions this week and during the Autumn term We will be informing you of our spring term dates very soon when we will invite you into school to learn about how your pupils learn mathematics every day in school.

Christmas Fayre We are hosting our first Christmas Fayre after school on Friday 1st December, 2023 between 3.30pm - 5.30 pm straight after school.
We really appreciate all of your donations. If you would like to book a Father Christmas visit please send your money to the school office in an envelope with your child’s name clearly written on the front.

Donations
We would like donations of any socks, tights or underwear that your children have grown out of home to help us when we need to change pupils in school. If your child has been changed into spare clothes at school please return them asap.
Many thanks in advance for all of your co-operation.

Shared mailboxes and communication  Please remember that the main method of communication with your child’s class teacher is via the shared mailboxes. They are checked daily and can be used to ask questions, pass on information or check details:

Reception Admissions September 2024 If your child is looking to join our school in Reception 2024, it is vital that your application is completed by 15th January 2024 or it is likely you miss out. Last year we had over 220 applications for just 90 places. Even with a 3 form intake, we have more expressions of interest than we have places – YOU MUST APPLY! Attending our Nursery will have no impact on your application. Many parents mistakenly believe that a place in the Nursery = a place in Reception… it doesn’t!
Please see the London Borough of Havering website for further information on how to apply.
