Easter Lunch Served By Bunnies

The final school dinner of the term went down a treat. Mandy, Barbs and Karen all dressed up as Easter Bunnies to serve the children. With chocolate to give away, it was a popular choice... over 189 dinners were served!

Next term we already have two theme days booked in - Wild West Day and Slay a Dragon Day. These are proving a big hit with the children. Don't forget to pick up your dinner tickets, which will be on sale on the Tuesday and wednesday when we return!

Easter Egg Competition Winner - Casey Lavellin

Congratulations to Casey Lavellin who has won our Easter Eggstimation Competition. What did she have to do? Year 6 prefects took a jar filled with eggs round to each of the classes. The pupils had to pay 20p to eggstimate the number of eggs inside. Whoever guessed the closest won... as simple as that!

Altogether we have raised £111.80 - a fantastic total. We have decided to donate this to St Francis Hospice. Thomas - who is in Reception - has a member of his family running for this worthy cause in the London Marathon on April 25th.

By then, Casey will have done her part by eating each of the 236 eggs in the jar!

Rainbow Writers

Congratulations to our latest KS1 Rainbow Writers - Ayomide and Cydney! For their efforts they receive their certificates and golden pencils.

Goodbye Mrs Corbett

Today we say goodbye to Mrs Corbett who has served the school faithfully for many years - over 17! Although we are very sad to be losing a member of staff who has been fully committed to improving the education of your children, she has more than earned the chance to have a rest. We will miss her sense of humour, sparkly personality and co-ordinated eyeshadow/clothing combos! We would like to wish her all the best for a very happy and long retirement. Thank you Mrs Corbett!
