The overall attendance for the week was 95% just 1% away from our target. This is fantastic!  We saw those pupils making an extra effort to arrive before 8.45am to ensure that they get to put their names into the lucky buckets and we appreciate your effort. Keep it up!

Spare Clothes
Winter weather is definitely here! Over the past few weeks it has been wet. This means that children get wet and many need a change of clothes. If your child has needed to borrow some clothes from school we kindly ask that you wash them and return them as soon as possible. We need many spare clothes for the number of children that we have. If you have had a clear out at home we would really appreciate donations of items that your children have outgrown. We particularly need socks and bottoms (trousers, tracksuits bottoms) for girls and boys. Many thanks.

After School Cycle Training in Havering

Dear Parents and Carers,

We are pleased to let you know that spaces are available for After School Cycle Training in Havering. These sessions are a fantastic opportunity for children to learn to ride or to improve their existing cycling skills.

To view dates and book a place, please visit the link below:

 https://www.cycleconfident.com/sponsors/havering/

Children's Complete Beginner Cycle Training

These are suitable for children who have never ridden a bike or would like to come off stabilisers. Training will include basic instruction on balancing, pedalling and steering, starting and stopping, riding in a straight line, turning and changing direction. Courses consist of 1.5 hours of training in a small group of up to 6 children with 2 qualified instructors. Children are encouraged to bring their own bike where possible but a limited number of bikes and helmets will be available to borrow, subject to availability and fit.

Children's Improver Cycle training

Build confidence and skills! These sessions will focus on the basics of bike handling and control, building up valuable skills that help children to be confident in controlling their bike in a safe, off-road, environment. This course does not accommodate complete beginners or those who use stabilisers so please see our Complete Beginner courses if your child is new to cycling or uses a bike with stabilisers. Course consists of two hours of training in a group of up to 10 children with 2 qualified instructors. Children are encouraged to bring their own bike where possible but a limited number of bikes and helmets will be available to borrow, subject to availability and fit. Parents/carers of children under 7 are requested to remain within sight of the cycle training.  Please collect trainees promptly.

Many thanks

Amazing Attendance and Perfect Punctuality week

Amazing Attendance and Perfect Punctuality week

Next week is our amazing attendance and perfect punctuality week.

This initiative is designed to encourage everyone to embrace the importance of being on time, remembering our 'Pupil Job 1', while having a bit of fun along the way.

Pupil Job 1 - Come to school every day on time

Parent responsibility - Ensure that your child arrives for school on time, every day and ready to learn.

Weekly Attendance  Target 96%

Here’s how it works:

📅Daily Prize Draw
Each day of the week, if you arrive at school on time, your name will be entered into a prize draw for a chance to win a delightful bag of treats! The more days you arrive on time, the more chances you have to win! It’s a simple and fun way to motivate everyone to prioritise punctuality.

🍽️Early Bird Breakfast Treat on Friday:
As an extra incentive, we’ll be hosting a ‘special early bird breakfast treat’ on Friday 16th January for all children who arrive by 8:45 AM. Collect your treat from outside the main office before you head off to your classroom.  It’s our way of saying thank you for your commitment to being on time and starting the day off right!

🎉Whole Class Treat:
We want to elevate the excitement even further! Any class that achieves amazing attendance and/or perfect punctuality for the entire week will receive a special whole-class treat. So, encourage one another and show your commitment to being present and punctual!

Let’s make a fantastic start to the Spring term by showing our commitment to attendance and punctuality. Remember, arriving on time not only helps you settle in for a successful day of learning, it also sets a great example for your peers.

We are excited to see all of you bright and early, ready to learn and participate. Let’s set a positive tone for the rest of the year and build the habits that will lead us to success!

Best of luck to all, and let the attendance challenge begin!
