100% Attendance Party

To celebrate the achievement of the pupils who managed 100% attendance for the whole year, our Governors hosted a cupcake party. Pupils were awarded their 100% certificates and trophies, before being served drinks and cakes by Mr Norman and Mr Borrell.

"To make it through the whole year without missing a day is a real achievement. This is the least we can do to recognise how hard these children have worked to keep a perfect attendance score!" Mr Norman

"Pupils have three values to follow. The first of these is the most important: Turn up every day, on time! If they aren't here we can't help to develop their maths and literacy skills. Punctuality and attendance are skills that will help them be employable for the rest of their life. These pupils are a great example to the others!" Mr Drakes

This year we have managed to achieve an overall attendance of 95.6%... our highest ever! With 31 children achieving 100% it is not hard to see how we have managed this.

"I love coming to school everyday. We're always learning new facts and my lessons are fun." H Vincent Year 3

"Why stay at home when you have all the facilities that we do? We can use the slides, tree house, climbing equipment, giant sand pit and computers. I haven't got anything like that at home!" Samson Wright Year 4

Well done to you all, a great effort.

KS1 & Reception Sports Day 2014

With fierce determination our KS1 and EYFS pupils completed a number of activities during their Sports Day: clambering through tunnels, skipping through hoops, balancing bean bags and sprinting with quoits! The children's well developed sense of reciprocity was clear for all to see. Everyone cheered for their team mates, creating a very positive atmosphere! Have a look at the video below to relive some of the highlights.

Year 6 Performance

The climax of Year 5&6 work on Macbeth was the end of year performance. Together with Miss Reynolds, Mrs Wallis & Mrs Gradley, the children adapted the Shakespeare play to form their own retelling of the famous Scottish legend. Charlie Adams played an excellent part as a brave but flawed Macbeth, while Yashvi made a wondrously treacherous wife.

Super Star Readers

Abena Pim-Wusu, Brooke Atkinson, Amy Sullivan & Brooklyn Meggoe have managed to complete their Bronze Reader award. Abbie Sullivan, Holly Clark, Martin Wicher, Charlie McGilligan, Ethan Himyandi & Micayla Smith have earned their bookmark (25 books). Freddie Lewis, Morgan Palfreman, Kimberley Stuart, Emily Johnson & Ella Nash have completed their Silver Award – that means a £5 voucher and certificate.
