Coconut Poetry

In their Literacy lessons, Coconut have been drawing inspiration from the old school building to help with personification. Venturing down into the abandoned classrooms, the children used the sense of isolation to create some very powerful haikus.

"It seems as if the old building is a forgotten shell. It must feel strange - if the building could talk - to be able to hear the children next door but not be able to see them!" Joe Faust

More Able Writers Day - Year 5&6

On Thursday 12 children from Years 5 and 6, along with 12 children from St. Ursula's Junior School, participated in a writing workshop with Sam Hepburn, the author of "Chasing The Dark."

The children spent the day exploring a story and creating pieces of drama which then enabled them to write detailed descriptions of settings and characters for a playscript.
