Our KS2 choir put on a great performance in the latest Sharing Assembly. Their rendition of 12 Days of Christmas was very good!

Choir @ Pensioners Group
This week our KS2 Choir went along to the local pensioners' group at My Place to sing some carols. While the club members bought their raffle tickets and got ready for bingo, our pupils went through a festive medley: Little Donkey, Away in a Manger and Frosty the Snowman.
Festive Jumper & Party Day: 16th December
This year we will be holding the Christmas Jumper Day on Wednesday 16th December. Please wear normal school uniform, but swap the school sweater for a festive jumper. We will be collecting donations for Great Ormond Street Hospital. We suggest £1 per family please. Thank you.
There will also be Festive Parties for the children on Wednesday 16th. You won’t need to send in party clothes or food. The pupils will stay in school uniform + festive sweater (and headwear if you have it). We will also provide all the food for them too.

We're In The Paper: Basketball Heroes!
Congratulations to our basketball team whose success has been celebrated in the Romford Recorder this week. They won the Harold Hill competition for the first time two weeks ago, bringing back a very shiny trophy!

Fact Hunters: Dolphins & Antarctica

Did you know that dolphins are very able hunters? When fish are moving in large shoals, large groups of dolphins form to herd the fish into a mass on which they can feed at leisure. The dolphins whistle directions to each other and it is thought that they also direct loud noises at the fish to confuse them.

Did you know that Antarctica is bigger than Europe and almost double the size of Australia. Most of Antarctica is covered in ice over 1.6 kilometres thick (1 mile). Because it experiences such little rain, Antarctica is considered a desert!

Superstar Pupils
Congratulations to Brooke Atkinson and Emily Claydon who have both worked hard on their projects at home. Tommy has been chosen as the Star Writer for his class this week.

Tracker Awards
Elina & Yemi have both achieved their Golden Bookmark. Kaine Painter has collected his Platinum pencil and pen set, while Elizabeth has completed her Platinum tracker.
Eriya, Adam, Evie, Molly May & Matthew: all of these pupils have now finished their first tracker (Bronze). Sienna, Simona and Sophie have all claimed their Star Prize. Ruby, Samson and Thelma have all managed to complete their prestige Silver trackers.
