Diary Dates

Next week, we welcome Gareth Metcalf, who will be working with staff across the federation to further develop the teaching in Mathematics for benefit of all of our pupils.

Monday 24th April, the Spring term premier reading league winners will be going to Vue cinema to enjoy their reward.  

Wednesday 26th April we look forward to welcoming parents and carers of pupils in year 3 for their sharing assembly.

The KS2 pupils will be taking part in a fabulous beatboxing workshop on Thursday. The Beatbox Collective is made up of a cast of the UK’s top beatbox talent, with over 10 years of battling at the top level, performing and teaching worldwide and individually pioneering their art form. I am sure the pupils are going to love their time with the musicians.

TES Awards - Congratulations!

I am absolutely delighted to inform you that our school has been shortlisted - for the third year running - for the School of the Year award by the TES (Times Educational Supplement). In fact the work of the staff, parents and pupils in early years  has meant that we are also shortlisted - for the second year running - in the EYFS setting of the year category. Congratulations to everyone!

Last year at the awards, Broadford won the Community and Collaboration category, fingers crossed that we bring another trophy home on 23rd June!

We know that being a good parent is a very demanding role. Havering are offering free parental support for families. Please see the details below:

Havering Parent Support

Parenting can be a complex business, from pre-school through to late teens. The reality is that we manage. However, sometimes we could all do with a little advice and support surrounding our children’s behaviour.

Therefore, Havering are offering FREE one-to-one parenting advice and support sessions.

David's Judo Award

Congratulations to David for his impressive Judo award. Just before the holidays he was recognised for the effort he makes in the training sessions and the way he works hard to constantly develop his skills... well done David!

Attendance Update

As we enter the Summer term it is vital that all of our pupils are in school every day. Missing just a few days can really disadvantage your child and impact on their progress.

95% is just average... we want all of our children to have an outstanding education. You can't do that with average attendance. Job #1 for all pupils is to 'Turn up every day on time'.

Please ensure that you do all you can to ensure that we can reach the 98% attendance score for this term.
