Healthier Lunchboxes
Healthier Lunchboxes
We have noticed an increasing number of sugary items appearing in lunchboxes, so have attached some guidance on some fresh ideas for healthier lunchboxes.
School meals are a great choice and free up until the end of year 2, but if you do make a packed lunch for your child then the link below will give you a range of quick, easy, healthier lunchbox ideas.
https://www.nhs.uk/change4life/recipes/healthier-lunchboxes
Please remember;
- To try not to pack too much as this can be quite over whelming for some children
- Please only pack what your child is going to eat - we are seeing an awful lot of food going to waste
- Avoid too many sugary items - lots of alternative ideas are in the link
- Not to pack any fizzy drinks
- To avoid packing anything that contains nuts or traces of nuts
