Dear Parents and Carers,


Diary Dates
On Monday 8th October year 4 pupils continue with their Mary Poppins creative sessions with pupils from Drapers’ Brookside.
On Tuesday 9th October, our school nurse Cathy Forrester will be in school. If you would like to speak with Cathy to seek any medical advice please pop into the school office.
Year 3 would like to invite all parents & carers of year 3 pupils into school for their reading morning at 9.05 am. In the afternoon Reception parents are invited to find out more information about how pupils are learning to read in Reception at 2.00 pm. The netball team are playing a match against Brookside after school.
On Wednesday 10th some very lucky pupils are going to the Primary Proms event at the Royal Albert Hall. Hazel class are visiting MOD pizza in Romford and will have the opportunity to taste delicious pizza. LAMDA lessons will continue in the afternoon.
On Thursday 11th year 5 pupils will be participating in a circus skills workshop and Sequoia are visiting MOD Pizza in Romford. In the afternoon Year 1 pupils are taking part in Forest Schools sessions. After school, Mrs Mcfarlane and the spinebreakers invite you along to the book fair, please see posters for more details.
On Friday morning Reception children will be meeting lots of creepy crawlies and will enjoy a fantastic morning with the bug man. The book fair will continue after school today. The final book fair sale will be on Monday 15th October.
Dental Treatment - Parents of Pupils in Reception and Year 1
The dental health team are visiting on Wednesday 5th December to start the fluoride varnish programme with pupils who are in Reception and Year 1. All parents would have received a letter containing all of the relevant information. If you would like your child to take part in this program please return the consent forms to the school office by Friday 12th October.


Scholastic Autumn Book Fair
The Book Fair will be after school on Thursday 11th, Friday 12th and Monday 15th October in the hall. We will be giving away free stationery to the winners of our 'Golden Conker' lucky dip, and, every pupil who purchases a book will be entered into a raffle where they could win a hamper of book-delights!

A huge well done to all pupils who prepared a speech and delivered it in front of their peers and staff this week. The standard of presentations has been very high this year and the calibre of candidates extremely strong. You should all feel very proud of yourselves.


Autumn Term Parent Consultation Evening - Monday 15th & Tuesday 16th October
We are looking forward to welcoming all parents on Monday 16th & Tuesday 17th October for parent consultation meetings. You will have the opportunity to meet your child’s new class teacher and find out how they have settled so far this year. The teachers will also explain the expectations for the end of the year your child. Your appointment time will be sent home on Monday 8th October.


School Photographer
Our new school photographer Carmel Jones will be in school on Thursday 18th October for individual photographs. Make sure that your hair is brushed and teeth are clean you'll be be ready for your close up.


Havering Catering Services
Week beginning Monday 8th October is week 1 on the Havering catering services menu. All meals are served with unlimited salad and vegetables and cost £2.20.
