Dear Parents and Carers,
Thank you for your constant support during this time.
LAMDA Examination
I am delighted to start the newsletter this week with some fabulous news. Before the Christmas break some of our pupils participated in LAMDA examinations. I am pleased to announce that after weeks of hard work and practice 100% of passed with merits and distinctions. Congratulations to all of these pupils who are living and breathing examples of pupil job number 2, doing your best in every lesson and demonstrating that hard work really pays off! We are very proud of you. Thank you to parents and carers for your constant support at home. A great job all round.
Since last year we have been using the sQuid system to send the newsletter weekly via email. Please ensure that your details are up to date on the school system and if you have changed your email address or telephone number that you let us know as soon as possible.
Lost Property
We have lots of items of lost property which we would like to reunite with its owners. Please ensure that every item of clothing is clearly labelled with your child’s name, this way it is highly likely that it will be returned to its owner. However, if your child has lost an item of uniform you may find it in the lost property box that can be found under the canopy in the playground.
If your child is eligible for free school meals, you can help us and we can help you!
For every pupil who is eligible for Free School Meals, our school receives funding of £1,345 per year for six years. This funding is essential to us to enable the provision of the learning resources, experiences and facilities that we provide to your children. Please also note that KS1 children who receive Universal Free School Meals may still be eligible for this funding.
Additionally if your child is eligible for this funding you will also receive:
a voucher for each child, once per year to assist with the cost of school uniform (redeemable at Premier Schoolwear).
assistance with contributions towards school trips and residential visits
After school clubs can continue to be free of charge.
If you are in receipt of any of the following benefits your child may be eligible for free school meals.
* Income support
* Income based Jobseekers Allowance
* Income related Employment Support Allowance
* Guaranteed Element of State Pension Credit
* Child Tax Credit (but not Working Tax Credit) and have an annual income of less than £16,190
