Part 1 Broadford News
End of Spring Term
As we wrap up this term, I want to take a moment to celebrate the incredible achievements of our pupils. We are thrilled to report that our attendance has reached an impressive 96% over the past few weeks! This commitment to coming to school every day is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our pupils, and we thank you for your support in making this happen.
We were excited to celebrate the graduation of our pupils from the University of Broadford last week. Next term we are looking forward to the University of Broadford sports edition and starting our new family style lunchtimes! We can't wait to share the details with you all!
Today, we are also celebrating our rich and diverse student community by sharing our various cultures and religions. It’s a wonderful opportunity for our pupils to learn from one another and appreciate the unique backgrounds that make our school a vibrant place.
As we approach the break, I wish you all a restful and enjoyable holiday. We look forward to welcoming everyone back on 22nd April, ready for another term of learning and growth.
Have a wonderful break!

Healthy Eating
At Broadford Primary School, we believe that a varied and balanced diet is essential for our pupils' growth, development, and overall well-being. A nutritious diet not only fuels their bodies but also supports their learning and helps them thrive in every aspect of school life.
We encourage all our pupils to start their day with a healthy breakfast. We are delighted to offer bagels and fresh fruit as part of our breakfast options. These tasty choices provide the energy they need to kick-start their day and keep them focused in class.
Our partnership with Havering Catering ensures that every child has the opportunity to enjoy a balanced and nutritious lunch. Their menus are thoughtfully designed to include a variety of food groups, ensuring our pupils receive the essential nutrients they need. Havering catering services are committed to providing meals that are not only healthy but also delicious!
In addition to our breakfast and lunch offerings, we have fresh fruit available for snacks throughout the day. This is a fantastic way for children to munch on something nutritious, helping them stay energised and ready to learn. We kindly ask that you ensure any snacks sent with your Key Stage 2 pupil are nutritious and align with our guidelines.
Please remember that acceptable snacks include: Fresh fruits (e.g., apples, bananas, sliced grapes), vegetables (e.g., carrots, cucumber), crackers, breadsticks, or rice cakes, yoghurt, cheese sticks or cubes, dried fruits or popcorn. We are, of course, a nut free school so no nuts or products containing nuts please.
Building Lifelong Habits
By encouraging our pupils to make healthy food choices now, we are helping them develop habits that will benefit them for life. We invite you to join us in this important mission by discussing healthy eating at home and exploring new foods together as a family.
Thank you for your continued support in fostering a healthy and happy environment for our pupils.
