Headteacher: Mrs L Nicholls

Dear Parents and Carers,

Part 1 Broadford News

Half Term

Firstly I’d like to wish you all a wonderful half term break. We look forward to seeing you all on Monday 2nd June. Doors open for EASC breakfast club at 7.30 am and 8.30 am for all other pupils

Donations
Thank you for all of your donations today in support of our Colour day in school. These will all go towards our fundraising, please look out for details next half term regarding our summer raffle and end of term Colour Run celebration.

Theo
Unfortunately, our very much loved therapy and reading dog, Theo, passed away this week at 14 years old, which is a good age for a dog. Theo was an incredibly gentle dog who loved coming to school each week and spending time with our pupils. We have sent condolences on behalf of the whole Broadford community to Ms Brazzo and thanked her for her commitment to bringing Theo into school weekly and she knows how much we will all miss him.
Here is some further information regarding speaking to children about the death of a much loved pet.

Summer
A reminder to parents that after half term, hopefully the weather will continue to get warmer. I would like to ask all parents to ensure that children have sun protection applied before they arrive at school. It is also recommended that children bring caps/hats into school to wear during outdoor times. We will ensure that pupils have access to plenty of water throughout the day to keep them fully hydrated.

Even though the children may wear summer uniforms they will still be participating in Forest School sessions, even in the summer and will need long trousers to change into or wear long trousers on their Forest School day. This is for their own comfort and safety and allows them to participate fully.
Thank you for your support and co-operation in this matter.

Fathers’ Day Sale
We will be holding our annual Fathers’ day sale on Monday 2nd and Tuesday 3rd June . Items will be on sale priced at £3 each, pupils will be able to pick out a present for Dad’s, Grandad’s Uncles or older brothers. The last chance to pay via ParentPay is today.
