We are delighted to have been included in Ofsted's latest Guide to Good Practice. Our school - and our parents - have been used as an example of how school's can effectively communicate with parents to ensure that everyone contributes to the school development plan.
Out of all the school's in the local authority we have the highest return on our Parent View survey. We used this information to ensure that our bullying procedures were reviewed.
Thank you for the enthusiasm with which you have given us feedback. Your thoughts and ideas are vital if we are going to be a good or outstanding school.

Fact Hunters: Materials, fossils and hair!
Did you know that the T-Rex dinosaur used to have 60 teeth? If I would you I wouldn’t get too close as they were very sharp!
Mason Camden
Mason has been investigating what different things are made from. He has found out that making bricks includes: getting rid of all the lumps in the clay, adding water and using sand to help the clay out of the mould and to give the brick its colour.
Georgia Brooks
Amazingly the colour of your hair affects how many hairs you actually have. People with red average around 90,000 hairs while those who are blobde have an average of 140,000!
Louise Paius
Jupiter is the largest planet in the solar system. In fact it is almost 318 times bigger than the Earth!
Holly Maskell
Did you know that the Fennec Fox are the smallest types of fox to be found in the world? They live in Africa. It is a nocturnal animal with very large ears – which help it listen out for predators and its dinner.
Tommy Terry
Although our planet is called the Earth, over two thirds of the surface is covered in water – 71.11% to be precise. However only 3% of that water is fresh or drinkable.
Rotary Club Quiz: Broadford Through Round 1
Congratulations to the Year 6 Quiz team who made it through to the next round of the Rotary Competition. They managed to beat Hylands and James Oglethorpe Primary to reach the second phase. Do you know which chess piece can only move diagonally? Would you be able to name the wizards prison in the Harry Potter books?
To mark their success the children were presented with fact books, which should stand them in good stead for the next round. Well done Ellie, Amy, Donavan and Toheeb!

Fantastic Feedback!
We know that our children are a credit to both you and us, however it is always nice to hear that others have noticed. On the recent trips to London, many adults have come to commend the children's behaviour. We never tire of receiving such compliments. This particular lady has felt so strongly about it she emailed the school.
We thought that you should hear what she had to say about our pupils...

My husband and I went to see Great Expectations at the theatre in London
last week and we were surrounded by pupils from Broadford Primary school. I
just wanted to email to say how impressed we both were with the children’s
behaviour. They all sat most beautifully throughout the whole play and the
children we were sitting next too were very polite and well mannered. One girl
very kindly offered my husband and I one of her crisps at the interval!
I hope they enjoyed the play, it was very well done.
Regards
Deborah
