Homework for 2013-2014
Homework:
This approach started yesterday. Every class from Year 1- Year 6 will be expected to work on three areas each week. It should take approximately 15-20mins for each of them, which means an hour of homework per night:
This approach started yesterday. Every class from Year 1- Year 6 will be expected to work on three areas each week. It should take approximately 15-20mins for each of them, which means an hour of homework per night:
- Practice your spellings
- Go through your times tables
- Read your book, magazine, paper
The vast majority of our pupils do this consistently. We are now going to provide a prize draw. If they bring in their reading record and spellings books every week they will have the chance to win a trip to London to visit a famous landmark: The Shard, London Eye, Mittal Orbit, Tower 42, Duck Tour or one of the many other London attractions.

Student Support Centre - Money for School
Dear parents
The Student Support Centre has asked us to distribute leaflets this afternoon. As a reward for publicising their service, we will receive £100. This money will be placed in the children's playground equipment fund. However it is possible to boost this money:
50% bonus if between 31-50% of pupils reply
100% bonus if more than 51% of pupils reply
Please can you make sure that you fill in and return the slip so that we can reach the maximum amount of £150. This is no cost to you and just gives us extra funds for the playground fund.
Completed forms back by Thursday 12th September!

We're In The Paper: Chloe's Karate Fundraiser
Congratulations to Chloe, who managed to complete a 24hr Karate Rally during the summer holidays. With the help of her karate club she contributed to raising almost £3,000 for cancer research.
"The event was a lot of fun. Although I had to stay up for ages, I didn't feel tired." Chloe - aged 8
Unbelievably Chloe had injured her toe just before the holiday. Despite this recent injury she played a full part in proceedings and was overjoyed to see her face in the paper. Well done Chloe!
