Homework for 2013-2014

Homework:

This approach started yesterday. Every class from Year 1- Year 6 will be expected to work on three areas each week. It should take approximately 15-20mins for each of them, which means an hour of homework per night:

• Practice your spellings 
• Go through your times tables 
• Read your book, magazine, paper 

In addition the children may choose to do additional work on either a topic of their choice or one being covered in class. We will soon be launching the Broadford Learning Challenge for each Year Group. This will be a fun way to improve the children’s general knowledge and will help you to find inspiration for additional learning topics. More details will follow soon.

The vast majority of our pupils do this consistently. We are now going to provide a prize draw. If they bring in their reading record and spellings books every week they will have the chance to win a trip to London to visit a famous landmark: The Shard, London Eye, Mittal Orbit, Tower 42, Duck Tour or one of the many other London attractions.
