The Mayor’s Fund for London Awards 2016 celebrate individuals,
organisations and schools making a positive impact on the social
mobility of young Londoners. With a
commitment to excellence, the 3rd annual awards honour achievement and
influence.
Broadford Primary School was delighted to be shortlisted for London Primary School of the Year.
Nominations for this award relate to a school that participates in at least one of the Mayors Fund for London programmes and has embedded the core value of aspiration throughout the
school. Nominated schools must be able to clearly
demonstrate that they support all children to aspire and achieve and
operates a whole school initiative to close the gap in educational
attainment, particularly for pupils who are eligible for pupil premium funding. Nominated schools must encourage its students to take advantage of the opportunities
London has to offer and make a positive contribution to the future of
the City.
During the last academic year students from Broadford Primary School participated in activities and gained many valuable experiences from the Mayor's Fund for London and Team London. Count on us, volunteering opportunities and the London Knowledge Quiz to name a few. We didn't win the award on this occasion but with a short list of only 3 schools the competition was fierce. It was an honour to be shortlisted and a testament to the commitment of all staff and pupils at Broadford Primary School.
