Dear Parents and Carers,
Dairy Dates: Monday 10th - Friday 14th December
On Monday 10th December Larch and Willow class are visiting the Royal Courts of Justice and KS1 pupils will be sharing their nativity with parents and carers at 9.15 am and 2.15 pm.
On Tuesday 11th Cathy Forrester will be in school from 8.30 am for any parents or carers who would like to seek her advice or have a question they would like answered. Pine class are visiting St Andrew’s Church in Hornchurch and EYFS children are sharing their Nativity with parents and carers at 10.30 am & 2.15 pm. The Harry Potter Club are watching film 3 in preparation for the next quiz round.
Wednesday is Christmas dinner day in school. Mulberry class are visiting St Andrew’s Church and the Harry Potter club are competing in the Ravenclaw round against Mead pupils.
On Thursday we have NHS staff in school to administer the flu immunisation, if you would like your child to receive this please make sure that you have returned the permission slip before the day. Redwood class are visiting the Royal Courts of Justice. In the afternoon year 1 spinebreakers are watching the Peter Rabbit film and we have the first of our KS2 carol concerts when the year 3 pupils will be leading.
Friday 14th is Christmas jumper day and we cannot wait to see the sparkles and bells! We have a tour for prospective Reception parents in the morning and in the afternoon the year 5 pupils are leading the KS2 concert. After school clubs finish on Friday.

Festive Jumper: Friday 14th December
Please wear normal school uniform, but swap the school sweater for a festive jumper. We will be collecting donations after our Christmas concerts next week and we will make a donation towards Save the Children from these donations. Therefore, there will be no need to send in extra money for Christmas jumper day. However, if you would like to make a donation to Save the Children we would suggest a donation of £1 per family, thank you.
Final Day of Term: Wednesday 19th December
We finish school at 3.00pm on Wednesday 19th. School opens again on the 8th January – Breakfast Club at 7.45am – with the doors opening at 8.30am.
After school Clubs
It is that time again to consider which clubs you will be interested in ready for the new school spring term. We shall be continuing to offer a variety of clubs. Please follow the link to apply for your child’s after school clubs. Today is the last day to submit a request for after school clubs - 7th December.
The final after school club for the Autumn term will be on Friday 14th December.
Christmas Dinner - Wednesday 12th December
School Christmas dinner day is on Wednesday 12th December. There is a choice of turkey or quorn and the dinner costs £2.20 and is payable via sQuid. The universal free school meal offer is still applicable for our KS1/EYFS pupils.
Havering Catering Services
Week beginning Monday 10th December is week 1 on the Havering catering services menu. All meals are served with unlimited salad and vegetables and cost £2.20. School meals are free to our KS1/EYFS pupils.
