Newsletter - Friday 15th January

Headteacher: Mrs L Nicholls

Dear Parents and Carers,

Well done to everyone for getting through another week. If you are learning at home or in school you are all doing a wonderful job!

Once again we had a great uptake on the google meet sessions and with your help I know we can increase this week by week. The teachers love to see the children’s faces. If you are having any difficulties joining the meets then please email the teachers at the email addresses below.

We do want to remind you not to put undue pressure on yourself or the children at this difficult time. Whilst learning is important, it is also important to keep having fun also. I hope you all manage to relax over the weekend and get ready for Monday morning.

Newsletters 2021

As you are aware we try to be as paperless as we possibly can as a school. We want to reduce our carbon footprint so that we can create a better environment for the future and our children. The weekly newsletter will continue to be available via the school blog (accessed via the school website), Facebook and Twitter. We also have an email, however, from now on we are going to use our new system and email all parents a copy of the newsletter each week. Please ensure that we have your updated details to ensure that you receive it each week.
We hope that you received your newsletter in your email box last Friday.

Free School Meals

If you are eligible for free schools meals you would have received a text message from us asking you to confirm your details. From Monday 18th parents eligible for free school meals will receive vouchers and will no longer be required to collect food packages from school.

Key Stage 1 families who are eligible for FSM may have not yet applied due to the universal free school meal offer for all KS1 children. If you believe you are eligible for free school meals then please contact the office and they will confirm for you.

Learning League

Obviously, at the moment we cannot calculate attendance so instead we are going to change the attendance league to the learning league. Each week we will announce which year group has been the most active on google classroom, they will be awarded full marks and shoot to the top of the learning league table. Make sure that you are tuning into those google meets and turning in your assignments to ensure that your year group is at the top of the league table. When we return to school the year groups at the top of the league table will earn themselves a reward. This week congratulations to;
