Newsletter - Friday 22nd January

Headteacher: Mrs L Nicholls

Dear Parents and Carers,

We have received so many messages from parents and friends of the school in regards to the sad news of Mrs King passing. These messages have been warmly received at this sad time and we will be sharing them with Mrs King’s family. If you would like to leave a message or memory of Mrs King please add in the thread below the post and we will ensure that it is included.

Thank you for all of your condolences.

Free School Meals E-Vouchers

Parents who are eligible for free school meals should have received an email this week with their code included. You will receive your ecode weekly up to half term. Attached is a ‘Guide for Parents’ which will demonstrate how to redeem the codes.

If you haven’t received your email, we suggest you try the following

·         Check junk mail

·         The email has picture of child but doesn’t look like a communication from school

·         Check your email details with the school office by sending an email office@broadford.havering.sch.uk

Wellbeing Wednesday

We are all spending a lot of time in front of our computer screens at the moment, which we understand is a lot and does not always have a positive effect on us. Whilst we know that so many of you are working really hard with the online learning we know that it is always good to take a break That is why we are introducing Wellbeing Wednesday. We want to enjoy an afternoon that involves no screens instead you could go for a walk and have an adventure outside, get cosy in a homemade den, or try and follow a recipe – with your parents’ help of course! We are looking forward to it and we hope you are as well.

Learning League

Obviously, at the moment we cannot calculate attendance so instead we are going to change the attendance league to the learning league. Each week we will announce which year group has been the most active on google classroom, they will be awarded full marks and shoot to the top of the learning league table. Make sure that you are tuning into those google meets and turning in your assignments to ensure that your year group is at the top of the league table. When we return to school the year groups at the top of the league table will earn themselves a reward. This week congratulations to;
