Part 1 Broadford News
Christmas Dinner
Week beginning 16th December pupils have the opportunity to enjoy Christmas dinner in school. This will be served to different year groups on different days. This is so that pupils can eat their Christmas dinner in the hall and enjoy a festive experience. Due to the fact that the kitchen will be cooking over 300 Christmas dinners daily there will be a different menu for the rest of the school on their non Christmas dinner day please see below.
Christmas dinner will be roast turkey with the trimmings and there is also a vegetarian option which is festive and vegetarian sausage puff.
Wednesday 18th - Early years (Nursery & Reception), years 5&6
Thursday 19th - Years 1,2,3,4
Children can wear Christmas jumpers and headwear on their Christmas dinner day if they would like to.
On your child's non Christmas dinner day the kitchen will be preparing a cold service consisting of tuna, cheese or ham baguettes. These will be ordered via Parentpay as normal. Christmas dinner is free due to the universal free school meals offer excluding Nursery pupils.
Christmas Concerts
We are looking forward to welcoming you all into school for our annual Christmas concerts. We hope that you are able to join us to celebrate and we are doing things a little bit differently this year.
Nursery, Reception and Year 1 Christmas Concerts
Parents are invited to come and join the fun as we belt out your favourite carols, play games, and spread Christmas cheer! It’s the perfect way to celebrate with friends and get into the holiday spirit - bring your singing voice and your holiday magic.
Years 2,3,4,5 & 6
These concerts will be performed in the SorrelHall which is located in the old building. Please wait at the double grey doors to the left of the main school office. Someone will welcome you in once all of the pupils are in place. Due to numbers there are only 2 tickets per child so please have these ready when you arrive.
After each performance, each class will come forward to have their photographs taken. We ask that you do not surround the children but stay where you are to take a photograph of your child. The children will go back to their classes to get changed. Once all children have left the hall then the adults will be able to leave.
After the final performance of the day, pupils will be allowed to leave early. Please make your way to where you normally collect your child so that they can be dismissed. If you have other children in school who you wish to collect at the same time please tell them on this day to make their way to their siblings' classroom to be collected together. Please do not go to the office. As I am sure you can appreciate we have a lot of pupils to dismiss and we cannot do this from the office. We very much appreciate your support and co-operation in this.
Festive Jumper: Friday 13th December
Please wear normal school uniform, but swap the school sweater for a festive jumper. We will be collecting donations for Save the Children. We suggest £1 per family please. Thank you.
