Dear Parents and Carers,
Part 1 Broadford News
I hope that you all enjoyed the half term break with friends and family. We are all looking forward to a busy and fun packed half term.
Winter in Coming!
As we return from the half term break, the air is crisper and the temperature is dropping. Please remember that children will go outside everyday and will require coats, hats, scarves, gloves and appropriate footwear, which should all be named.
We would also encourage pupils to bring into school a pair of indoor shoes or slippers that they can change into once inside. If shoes get wet and muddy they will then have a pair of clean and warm shoes and will be more comfortable. This will also help us to keep the classrooms cleaner for children to learn in.
Many thanks for your co-operation with this.
Poppy Appeal
We are pleased to announce that the yearly poppy appeal boxes have arrived in school and will be coming around to classes until Remembrance day on Monday.
Please send donations in with the children in the mornings if you wish for them to purchase Remembrance merchandise. Donations for items are between 50p and £1.50.
Prefects will be visiting classrooms so that pupils have the opportunity to purchase merchandise.
Black History Month 2024
This year for Black History Month the whole school performed a version of 'Golden' by Jill Scott. Please watch the video here. The pupils really enjoyed making this video and we hope you have as much fun watching it.
Goodbye
Today we are saying goodbye to Miss Keanely as she starts her maternity leave. I know you will all join me in wishing Miss Keanely well as she waits for her bundle of joy to arrive. I look forward to sharing the good news with you all and to welcoming Miss Keanely back to school next year.
