Weekly Newsletters - Friday 5th September, 2025

Headteacher: Mrs L Nicholls

Dear Parents and Carers,

Part 1 Broadford News

Welcome back

We are delighted to welcome all our pupils back to Broadford Primary School for what promises to be an exciting and successful year ahead. It has been wonderful to see so many children arriving in the correct uniform, ready and eager to learn. This positive start sets the tone for a fantastic year.
Last year, we achieved an impressive attendance percentage (94.8%), and we are determined to continue this trend. Good attendance and perfect punctuality are key to your child’s success, and we thank you for your ongoing support in helping us maintain these high standards. We will continue to celebrate our pupils’ attendance achievements with special weeks dedicated to perfect attendance and punctuality throughout the year.
Looking ahead, we are excited about the many opportunities planned for our pupils. The year will be filled with reading, enriching experiences, notable achievements, and, most importantly, lots and lots of learning and progress. Our goal remains to break down barriers to learning to ensure every pupil is confident in their reading by the age of six, enabling them to access a rich and broad curriculum.
Thank you for working with us to create a positive, supportive, and inspiring environment where every pupil can thrive.

Bringing Items into School
Children should continue to bring a named water bottle into school containing water only, no juices. Children do not need to bring pencil cases into school. All resources will be provided by the school.

Uniform
It has been great to see the pupils return in their uniform and they all look very smart.
If you are eligible for a school uniform voucher, please contact the school office to request this if you haven't already received this.
PE days will be communicated with you by class teachers via the curriculum newsletter.  We would encourage all pupils to bring into school a pair of indoor shoes (slippers or plimsoles) that can be left in school and they can change into when in the classroom. This helps us to keep the school clean and hygienic for our pupils.

Staff News
I am pleased to announce that Mrs Rice gave birth to a baby boy and Mrs Cocks a baby girl over the summer break. Congratulations to them and their growing families.
Miss Hamilton leaves us today to start her maternity leave and we look forward to hearing her good news very soon.
Best wishes to all of them.
