Dear Parents and Carers,
Part 1 Broadford News
Welcome Back
It is wonderful to welcome everyone back for the final term of the academic year. While it is hard to believe we are already in the home stretch, we are confident that this will be a fantastic term for everyone at Broadford.
We have a packed schedule of exciting activities ahead, and we are looking forward to sharing these memorable moments with you and the children.
We have much to look forward to in the coming weeks, including:
Welcoming New Families: We are delighted to greet our new pupils and their families to the Broadford community.
Sports Days: Get ready for plenty of competitive spirit and teamwork on the field.
Special Summer Events: We are particularly excited to host:
The Colour Run * Broadford’s Got Talent!
We cannot wait to get started!
University of Broadford - Sports Edition
This summer term we are thinking about being healthy and we have a focus on healthy eating and moving our bodies more. On Friday, KS2 pupils will start participating in the University of Broadford - Sports Edition. Over the next 5 weeks pupils will participate in sporting sessions from basketball to hockey and hiking to dancing! Let the summer of sport begin!
BPS Mini Marathon: Thursday 23rd April
A group of our fantastic Year 5 and 6 pupils will be completing the TCS Mini Marathon on Saturday 25th April 2026. This is the second year that Broadford pupils have taken part in this mini marathon event and we are extremely proud of their achievements of running 2.6 km through London and past Buckingham Palace. The whole marathon weekend is incredibly inspiring and an opportunity for us to motivate all of our pupils to lead healthy lives.
In the spirit of the famous London Marathon this April, we are excited to announce a special event for all our pupils! From nursery to year 6, pupils will be taking part in 26.2 minutes (times will be adapted for our early years pupils) of physical activity (walking, running or jogging) around the school field. This is a wonderful opportunity for our students to enjoy being active while experiencing the thrill of a marathon in a fun and safe environment. We would also love for all of our pupils to collect sponsorship to go towards our schools fundraising total. Please complete the sponsorship form on the reverse side and return it to school in an envelope with your child’s name and class clearly marked on the front of the envelope, on the day of the event.
If each child was sponsored 10p per minute and managed to collect just £3.00 worth of sponsorship money we could raise a staggering £1500. Every little helps towards additional provisions for our pupils.
We can’t wait to see all the children taking part in this special day, celebrating fitness, fun and Broadford spirit.
Uniform
Just a reminder that the correct school uniform should be worn every day. Pupils should be wearing, white polo shirts, navy blue jumpers, grey trousers, shorts or skirts or blue gingham summer dresses. Polo shirts and jumpers do not need to include the Broadford logo but unbranded uniform must be plain. PE kits can be worn to school on PE days. Kit must be navy shorts and plain white t-shirts with or without the Broadford logo.
If you have any questions or concerns please pop into the office and speak to a member of our admin team.
