Weekly Newsletter - Friday 15th May

Dear Parents and Carers,

Part 1 Broadford News

Well done Year 6!
We are bursting with pride as we celebrate our Year 6 pupils, who have officially crossed the finish line of their assessment week!
It has been a demanding week with some truly challenging questions, but our children rose to the occasion. We were so impressed by their resilience, their hard work, and the fact that they kept their smiles shining through every single paper. They have been an absolute credit to their families and to the entire Broadford community.
A Team Effort
A massive thank you goes out to our parents and staff. Your unwavering support in the lead-up to this week—and your commitment to ensuring every child was in school, ready to go each morning—made all the difference. We truly could not have done it without you.
Time to Celebrate!
To reward their incredible efforts, the children are spending the day at The Olympic Park today! We hope they have a fantastic time soaking up the sun (if there is any!) and celebrating their achievements.
We couldn't be more proud of you, Year 6!

Fathers’ Day Sale
To celebrate all of our wonderful Broadford Dads, Step-fathers, Carers, Grandads and Brothers, we will be holding a Fathers’ Day Sale to give children the opportunity to purchase gifts for the father-figures in their lives. The sale will take place during school hours, with children visiting throughout the day in their classes.
There will be a variety of gifts available to buy. All gifts will be priced at £4 each and sold wrapped. Please pay on ParentPay. Please do not click ‘one click payment’, instead, add the item to the basket before checking out using a debit or credit card. The sale will take place on Wednesday 17th, Thursday 18th and Friday 19th June 2026. Money raised from the sale will go towards school resources. Thank you for your continued support.

Rainbow Non School Uniform Day - Friday 5th June
On Friday 5th June  we are holding a non school uniform Rainbow day at Broadford in support of prizes for our summer hamper raffle. Pupils can come to school wearing their own clothes, but they must wear school shoes or trainers. Instead of the normal procedure of bringing in some money, on this occasion we are asking pupils to bring in an item to donate to the summer raffle in exchange for wearing non school uniform.
As this is for prizes we need new items which are of course in the colours of the rainbow. We have given each year group a specific colour for the day. Please see the list below to see which colour your child’s year group is.

EYFS - Orange

Year 1 - Green

Year 2 - Pink

Year 3 - Purple

Year 4 - Red

Year 5 - Yellow

Year 6 - Blue

All you and your child need to do is select a new item in the specific colour for their year group and bring it into school on the non school uniform day on Friday 5th June.  There will be a summer holiday kids hamper up for grabs for each class on the colour run day later in the school term, the children can bring in their money on this day to be entered into the lucky bucket to win the hamper!
