Fact Hunters: Caterpillars & sneezes

This week we have had a tremendous number of interesting facts being shared by the children. Congratulations to the following children who have amazed us with their ability to hunt out interesting snippets of information:

Elina Joshi
Did you know that caterpillars cannot see very well, despite having twelve tiny eyes on their head? Caterpillars also have air holes on the side of its body to allow it to breathe (called spiracles)

Razvan Gabreanu
Were you aware that a gold medal is not actually made of gold? It is actually about 90% silver, with a thin six gram coating of gold to gild it.

Ben Green
Amazingly scientists have discovered that it takes just a single sneeze from a flu sufferer to spread germs around an entire room… and the contamination can last for hours. Make sure you have a tissue!
