We had a different arrangement to our Harvest Festival this year. Instead of bringing in food to donate to our local foodbank we asked our pupils to collect change.
Little things do add up. Collecting coins for sustainable development projects can turn our small change into big change for families overseas. Empowerment is at the heart of breaking down barriers to change and creating a world of difference. By collecting coins, we can helped 25,000 families develop the skills and resources they need to take charge of their future. 1 goat = investment in a family’s future and 1 family’s future = a world of opportunities. Pupils at Broadford filled up their money bags with loose change and were entered into a lucky draw to win a Rafiki friendship chain. I am delighted to announce the following names were drawn from the lucky bucket and these children will receive their prize;
Augusta Baradinskas, Kezia Wright, Elsie-Rose Elsdon-Skehill, Isla Saunders, Bella Hyder, Blake Maddox, Klaidi Krasniqi, Ella Lockhart, Aaliyah-Shae Vidol, Ijeoma Ezeogu, Tegan sage, Arhann Kaushal, Samira Rahman, Martina Rensh, Iasha Sillah, Jameel Ore, Mikki-Leigh Williamson, Courtney Simpson and Lily O’Leary.
Our aim was to buy goats for a families overseas and Team Broadford together will have provided 10 goats to support families in need. Thank you to you all for your generosity.
