Dear Parents and Carers,
Year 5 Residential - Mersea Island
This week our year 5 pupils braved all of the activities at Mersea Island. They have been extremely lucky with the weather and have enjoyed blue skies and shining sun. We know that some of you faced your fears during your time in Mersea but fear is nothing but an obstacle that stands in the way of progress. In overcoming your fears you all moved forward stronger and wiser and we are all very proud of you. A huge thank you to our amazing staff who encouraged and supported the pupils and kept them safe while they were away from their families. Congratulations to each and every one of you.
Thank you to the year 5 staff who stayed in school and organised a visit to Stubbers for the children who didn’t go to Mersea. What a fantastic week for year 5!
Transition
The preparation for moving on has started! This week the children have been inquisitive and have come up with questions that they want to know the answers to regarding the next year group. Next the pupils will start to answer those questions and elect a spokesperson to give feedback on behalf of the class.

Summer Sun
Summer has, eventually arrived and I hope that you are now all enjoying the warmer weather. I would like to ask all parents to ensure that children have sun protection applied before they arrive at school. . It is also recommended that children bring caps/hats into school to wear during outdoor times. We will ensure that pupils have access to plenty of water throughout the day to keep them fully hydrated. Thank you for your support and co-operation in this matter.
