Weekly Newsletter - Friday 16th June, 2023

Headteacher: Mrs L Nicholls
Dear Parents and Carers,

Part 1 Broadford News

Transition

The preparation for moving on has started! This week the children have been inquisitive and have come up with questions that they want to know the answers to regarding the next year group. Next the pupils will start to answer those questions and elect a spokesperson to give feedback on behalf of the class.

Secondary Transition Week - WB Monday 28th June..

Our year 6 pupils will start to visit their secondary schools in preparation for the next stage in their education. We hope that they enjoy the time that they spend at their new schools.

Summer Sun

Summer has, eventually arrived and I hope that you are now all enjoying the warmer weather. I would like to ask all parents to ensure that children have sun protection applied before they arrive at school. . It is also recommended that children bring caps/hats into school to wear during outdoor times. We will ensure that pupils have access to plenty of water throughout the day to keep them fully hydrated. Thank you for your support and co-operation in this matter.

Stay & Learn Sessions
We are looking forward to parents of children in year 2 joining us for their stay & learn session on Tuesday 20th June @ 9 am.

Drapers’ Sports Day

Congratulations to all of the pupils who represented Broadford at the Drapers’ sports day last week. They all performed brilliantly. Year 2 and 5 came first in their year groups and Broadford came 3rd overall. Congratulations to you all. Well done also to Miss Evans and all of the staff who supported and encouraged the children all day. A fantastic day overall.

Fathers’ Day Sale

Thank you once again your support and generosity towards our fundraising. The Fathers’ day sale has raised near to £500 which will go towards our overall fundraising total this year. Thank you and happy Fathers’s day to all Dad’s for Sunday.
