Dear Parents and Carers,

Part 1 Broadford News

RWI Parents Session
We are looking forward to welcoming parents of pupils in Reception, years 1&2 on Monday 12th February for an information session regarding RWI. This is the program that we follow for the teaching of phonics and early reading. Please wait at the Faringdon Avenue gate by the waiting area. Every parent who attends will receive a raffle ticket which will be entered into a prize draw for a selection of books to enjoy at home with your child. There will be a prize draw for each year group.

Parents Evening

We are looking forward to welcoming all parents on Wednesday 14th or Thursday 15th February for parent consultation meetings. You will have the opportunity to meet with your child’s class teacher and find out how they are making progress towards the end of year expectations for their current year group. During your visit we will also be seeking your views on our stay & learn sessions and would appreciate your feedback on how we can develop these important shared learning events.

After School Clubs
Due to parents' evenings, there are no after school clubs on Wednesday 14th or Thursday 15th February. All pupils must be collected at 3.10 pm from their classrooms as normal. Clubs will continue till the end of the half term after these dates.

Parent Governor Elections
There were two nominations received for parent governors. Eliza Avram, parents at Broadford and Karen Howell, parent at Mead. As there were no other nominations received, both of these parents have been elected and will serve a term as parent governor for 4 years. Congratulations to both candidates.
