Fact Hunters: Footprints, bricks & grasshoppers

This week we have had a tremendous number of interesting facts being shared by the children. Congratulations to the following children who have amazed us with their ability to hunt out interesting snippets of information:

Daniel Oladipo
Earth is the the largest of the terrestrial planets and is the only planet in our solar system not to be named after a Greek or Roman deity.

Teni Adu & Lille Jo Guidotti
At Lego Land, the largest model in Miniland is the Canary Wharf Tower at 5.2 metres tall. It took 3 modelmakers 850 hours to complete using 200,000 LEGO Bricks!

Abbie Sullivan
Grasshoppers makes sounds in one of two ways. Either they rub their legs together, or they crackle their wings.

Conor Borrell
Did you know that the lack of wind on the moon means the footprints in fine, dry lunar dust aren’t blown away in the way they would be if made in a similar substance on Earth?
