Fact Hunters: Spiders, koalas and tigers

Holly Clark
Did you know that Koalas have fingerprints that are almost identical to human ones? Not even careful analysis under a microscope can easily distinguish the loopy, whirling ridges on koalas' fingers from our own.

Kaden Nicol
Crab Spiders can move both sideways or backwards with ease. Most also have two large frontal eyes (in addition to their smaller ones), which gives them excellent eye sight compared to spiders in general.

Charlie Ilott
Amazingly an adult gorilla is about 1 meter tall to their shoulders when walking on all fours using their arms and their legs. A gorilla can live for 40 – 50 years.

William Ilott
Tigers scratch trees and use their urine to mark their territories. Their urine smells strongly of buttered popcorn. Amazingly they can swim distances of up to 6km without stopping.
