Dear Parents and Carers,
Dairy Dates - Monday 1st July - Friday 5th July
We start the week with the ‘Stepping Up’ year 5 boys participating in their day expedition. Birch continue with their swimming lessons in the afternoon. After school, it is the final opportunity to visit the book fair and grab a bargain read for the summer holidays.
Year 2 are hosting their stay and learn session on Tuesday at 2.15 pm for all parents and carers. The Harry Potter book club are taking part in the Quidditch round at Mead school. Music lessons continue in the afternoon. Year 1 pupils are hosting their first tea party and after school we are welcoming some of our new Nursery parents for the parent information session.
On Wednesday morning. year 6 are participating in the Junior Citizen workshop. We invite all parents and carers of pupils in EYFS along to their sports morning at 9.00 am. In the afternoon year 1 spinebreakers are visiting Hilldene library and other pupils in year 1 are hosting their parents tea party.
On Thursday year 3 pupils are visiting the Orbit at Stratford and Ash class are navigating their way around London using the skills they have been learning in Geography. We invite all parents and carers of pupils in KS1 to join us for their sports morning at 9.00 am. Music lessons continue in the afternoon and we are meeting more new Nursery parents after school.
On Friday morning some of our mathematicians are representing Broadford and taking part in the Havering Primary Schools Maths Quiz at Hall Mead school. Good luck to the team. The LFPA are holding their summer fete from 2.00 pm on the field.

Summer Sun
The warmer sunnier weather has arrived! I would like to ask all parents to ensure that children have sun protection applied before they arrive at school. . It is also recommended that children bring caps/hats into school to wear during outdoor times. We will ensure that pupils have access to plenty of water throughout the day to keep them fully hydrated. Thank you for your support and co-operation in this matter.
Sports Day

We would like to invite all parents and carers to join us for our sports mornings. Please ensure that you have applied sunscreen to your child before they come to school and school staff will ensure that they have sufficient water. EYFS and KS1 pupils must come to come to school wearing their school polo shirt, shorts and appropriate shoes for sports activities.
Carmel Jane Photographs
If you would like to order a copy of your child’s class photo please visit Carmel Jane website at www.carmeljane.co.uk using the code BFC9. Orders received before 7th July will be eligible for free delivery. All online photographs have now been correctly named.
Havering Catering Services
Week beginning Monday1st July is week 3 on the Havering catering services menu. All meals are served with unlimited salad and vegetables and cost £2.20.
