Next week is poetry week and year 3&4 will be taking part in poetry workshops with some pupils performing at a poetry festival towards the end of the week. On Monday pupils in year 3 will be participating in poetry workshops and in the afternoon years 2 -6 will be treated to a performance of Pandora. Year 5 boys start the ‘Boys Stepping Up’ programme on Monday afternoon and Ash class are going swimming.
On Tuesday morning Cathy Forrester our school nurse will be in reception if anyone would like to talk to her about any health concerns. Year 3 are having their photographs taken for the Tate Modern photography project. Year 5 parents are invited into school for their stay and learn session. The Harry Potter book club are watching film 7. Some pupils are taking part in a rounders competition against other locality schools.
On Wednesday we have author Eileen Browne coming to visit, she will be interviewed by our spinebreakers. Make sure that your hair is brushed and your teeth are clean as it is time for class photographs.
Poetry week continue on Thursday and year 4 will be taking part in workshops. The spinebreakers are going to join other librarians from Drapers’ Brookside, HIlldene and Crowlands school for a workshop. Year 3 parents are invited into school for their stay and learn session and in the afternoon year 2 pupils are going for a trip to central park.
To end a very busy week, our cycling instructor is back on Friday to lead bike club through our local lanes and fields.
