Dear parents and carers,
The holy month of Ramadan is slowly coming to an end and Muslims all around the world will be celebrating Eid this week (depending on the sighting of the moon). At Broadford Primary School, we will be celebrating Eid in school on Friday 14th of May 2021. On this day, children are required to do the following:
- It will be non-uniform day on Friday 14th of May 2021. Please ensure that your child comes to school on the Friday in colourful clothes (sparkly, full of sequins, beautiful patterns).
- Children can bring 50p or £1 per family to donate to Great Ormond Street Hospital.
This is a great opportunity to make children aware of this exciting Muslim festival and encourage them to celebrate it at school. This will definitely improve their understanding of different cultures, they will be able to celebrate diversity and even learn something new.
We are very excited to see all the fun activities that are going to take place and we cannot wait to share this with you.
We cannot wait for all the fun that is in store for us on Friday!
