Year 1 Awards

 

  

We have had another great week and there has been so much to celebrate in Year 1! 

These children have worked extremely hard and have been rewarded for all of their hard work and efforts.

E for Excellence


Walnut: Tyler

Tyler tries his best in every lesson. He worked very hard in his group to  bake delicious multi-layered cakes. Well done Tyler!


Apricot: Bella Rose

Bella has been working hard in every lesson. She has worked well in groups this week when baking yummy bakes. She has also been listening and sharing her ideas. 





Beech: 

Carina



Carina showed leadership during the cake making activity and ensured that everybody took their turn to complete a task. Well done Carina.

 

 

  Star Writers 

 

Walnut:Andreea

 

 

 

Andreea has been working very hard to improve her handwriting and  using her sounds to write  sentences. Well done Andreea!

Apricot:Sultan

Sultan has been focused on his handwriting this week. He has been checking his letter formation and making sure that his writing has been on the line. 

 

 

 

Beech:

 

Zariyah

 

 

Zariyah has worked super hard in RWI and used capital letters, finger spaces and full stops correctly. Well done Zariyah.

 

 

 

Learning Power Awards

These are the key skills that our children will need to learn effectively in class and to be successful later in life. 

  

Resilience

These children have demonstrated perseverance, managed distractions, noticed patterns and been absorbed in their tasks. 

Aadya has earned this award for her unwavering commitment to improving her work. Aadya produces outstanding writing because she perseveres and devotes all her attention to her work. Super effort!

 

 

This has been awarded to: Amira 

Amira has shown perseverance when working in a group. Amirs has been taking turns to share ideas and commenting on her friends opinions 

Resourcefulness   

These pupils have been curious about learning, made links between ideas, shown imagination, reasoned methodically and capitalised on resources. 

 

Walnut: Kayden

Kayden used clay and sticks to make a beautiful animal model during this week’s Forest School session. Well done Kayden! 

 

I Made My Teacher Happy Award 

This has been awarded to: Himanshi

Himanshi walked very sensibly on both the library trip and shopping at Lidl. She also worked really well in a team. 

 

Beech: Nyasa 

 

 

Nyasa is always an excellent role model and is very helpful in the classroom. Thank you Nyasa and well done.

Walnut: George

George has earned this award for his positive attitude towards his learning and valuable contributions during carpet sessions.Well done George!
