Weekly Newsletters - Friday 31st March, 2023

Headteacher: Mrs L Nicholls

Dear Parents and Carers,

End of Spring Term
The Spring term has flown past and here we are at the end of a very busy and chilly term. School finishes today for the Easter break and I wish you all a lovely Easter. I hope that you have fun hunting for eggs, eating chocolate and enjoying the first signs of spring which I am hoping will start appearing very soon.
We return to school for the summer term on Monday 17th April with breakfast club starting at 7.45 am and for all other pupils the gates will be open at 8.30 am.

Thank you all for your continued support towards the school and I look forward to seeing you all on the first day of the summer term.

Technical Difficulties
We have been experiencing some technical difficulties with Facebook over the past few weeks which is why they may have a reduced number of posts on our page. We have been unable to log in from so many different locations. We have, hopefully, fixed this issue now but I would like to thank you for your patience and understanding during this time. Just a reminder that you can always read year group blogs from the school website if you click on the ‘parent’ tab from the top menu bar.

University of Broadford

Thank you to all parents and carers who attended our Graduations over the last week. All of the staff and pupils enjoyed sharing their work with you. We are sad that the University is over for another year but we are looking forward to next year already. You will receive your official graduation photograph, which we hope you will enjoy.

Easter Hat Parade

It has been a wonderful day in school today and the pupils have enjoyed a fabulous Easter hat parade. Well done to everyone who entered, we saw many creative and original designs. We have some very talented artists within our community!

Books
We are missing a lot of colour banded books from our school library, which means that we are unable to offer our pupils the wide variety of reading books to encourage them on their reading journeys. Please can we ask that over the break, whilst you are spring cleaning, that you search bedrooms, kitchen cupboards and anywhere else where they could be hiding and return them to us at the beginning of the summer term. Many thanks.

Little Steps
We are looking for volunteers to help out with our Monday afternoon playgroup. If you would like to volunteer and are able to give up a few hours on a Monday afternoon we would love to welcome you into our little steps family. Please register your interest by emailing volunteer@broadford.havering.sch.uk

Goodbye

We are saying goodbye to some members of staff today. Mrs Lewis is moving to work in another local authority school and Miss Islam is relocating after her marriage earlier this year. We thank all of them for everything that they have given to enrich the lives of our Broadford pupils and wish them the best for their new ventures.
Miss Estall is starting her maternity leave and will soon welcome baby number 2, we look forward to hearing her news and her returning to us next year.
